Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account: email address, username, display name, and country — only what you give us at sign-up.
• Play: your games, moves, results, ratings, and tournament entries.
• Technical: IP address and browser type, kept briefly in session and rate-limit records to keep the service safe.
• Guests: a random session id and the games you play; nothing else.

How we use it

• To run the service: sign you in, match you with opponents, keep ratings and standings.
• To keep games fair and the site safe (cheating and abuse reports).
• We do not sell your data and we do not run ads.

Processors

• Vercel (hosting, logs), Neon (database, EU London), Ably (live moves), Resend (sign-in emails). Each processes data only to provide its service to us.

Your choices

• Download everything we hold on you from the You tab ("Download my data").
• Delete your account from the same page; games stay as anonymized records ("Deleted") so your opponents' histories remain intact.
• Sign-in emails are transactional; there is no marketing mail to opt out of.

Children under 13 may not create an account (see Terms). Questions: email the address on our contact page.
